This is an independent, unofficial reference for decoding Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) cask codes and following the monthly Outturn. It is built and maintained by Blair, a member of the Society for over a decade.

The SMWS labels its single casks with numbers rather than distillery names. That is great for blind appreciation but frustrating when you want to know what you are drinking. This site closes that gap: every code gets its own page answering, plainly, which distillery it is.
