About Dalmore
On the Cromarty Firth at Alness, looking across to the Black Isle, Dalmore was founded in 1839 and taken on in 1867 by the Mackenzies, whose twelve-pointed royal stag still crowns the bottle. Flat-topped wash stills and water-jacketed spirit stills make a rich, rounded spirit, finished in Gonzalez Byass sherry wood. Whyte & Mackay's.
