Where the Oyster River meets the sea on Vancouver Island, third-generation farmer Patrick Evans bought a former university research farm in 2005 and built Shelter Point, running the first spirit in 2011. Barley grows on its 380 acres and casks sleep in the old dairy barn. Its first single malt came in 2016: fresh, fruity and coastal. Family-owned.
