In Lannion, on Brittany's pink granite coast, Léon Warenghem, a Flemish herbalist, began making liqueurs in 1900. Generations later the Leizour family turned to whisky, and in 1998 launched Armorik, often called the first French single malt. The distillery has its own cooperage and does everything on site, cutting its spirit high to keep the aromas. Independently owned.
