Across the road from Glen Grant in Rothes, Caperdonich began in 1898 as Glen Grant No. 2, fell silent after four years and was rebuilt in 1965 under its new name. Run latterly by just two people, it fed Chivas blends until it closed in 2002 and was demolished in 2010. Its stills went on to Belgium and Falkirk. What casks remain carry a delicate, orchard-fruit spirit. Lost.
