In County Antrim, near the Giant's Causeway, Bushmills takes its water from Saint Columb's Rill, a tributary of the River Bush. The distilling company dates from 1784, though the label carries 1608, the year James I licensed whiskey-making in the district. In 1890 it sent its own steamship, SS Bushmills, to deliver whiskey across the Atlantic. Triple distillation gives a light, fruity, honeyed malt. Proximo's.
