About Glentauchers

Near Mulben, between Keith and Rothes, Glentauchers was founded in 1897 for the blender James Buchanan, and almost everything it makes still disappears into blends; an official bottling is a rare sighting. Until 1964 it had its own railway halt, Tauchers Platform. Mothballed in 1985 and woken in 1992, it makes a light, grassy, gently honeyed spirit. Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard).
