In Dufftown, on the Fiddich, Glendullan was built in 1897 by the Aberdeen blender William Williams. In 1972 a second, larger distillery went up next door, and the two ran side by side until the original was closed in 1985. Nearly all its output disappears into blends, which makes its single casks something of a find: light, fresh, grassy and orchard-fruity. Diageo's.
