At Castex d'Armagnac in Bas-Armagnac, Domaine de Saurine grows Baco alone, a hybrid grape that gives rich, full brandy. The Morel family, originally from Switzerland, first distilled here in 1956 and aged their armagnac in large oak vats for forty years or more. Distilled in a continuous still at a low strength, it is complex, intense and delicate. Single estate.
