In Woodinville, in Washington's wine country near Seattle, Orlin Sorensen and Brett Carlile founded their whiskey company in 2010. The grain is grown for them by the Omlin family in Quincy, distilled in Woodinville and then trucked some 170 miles back east to age in Quincy's hot summers and cold winters.
