About Louis Royer

In 1853 Louis Royer, a former cellar master, set up on his own in Jarnac at about 25, and took the bee, from his beekeeping hobby, as his emblem. In 1890 the house bought the Jules Duret firm and its stocks of old cognac, and generations of Royers have run it since. Cognac of finesse and balance from the banks of the Charente. Founded 1853.
