About Balcones
Balcones' first release, Baby Blue, was made from roasted Texan blue corn and was the first whisky from Texas on the market since Prohibition. The distillery was born in 2008 in a Waco welding shop under a bridge, its stills fitted by hand by founder Chip Tate. Blue corn whisky remains its signature: nutty, buttery and sweet, warmed by Texas heat.
