In Clarendon, on Jamaica's southern plain, the Monymusk sugar estate dates back to the eighteenth century and passed through the Lindo brothers, United Fruit and the state before its distillery joined National Rums of Jamaica in 1980. Pot and column stills make everything from light rum to heavy, high-ester marks, with Diageo its main customer; Monymusk became a brand in its own right in 2012. NRJ's.
