Uitvlugt, on Guyana's west Demerara coast, began as a coffee plantation and became a sugar estate and distillery, latterly home to the Port Mourant still and two French Savalle column stills of around 1921. It closed in December 1999, leaving Diamond as Guyana's last distillery; its Savalles moved there and still make Uitvlugt-style marks. Old Uitvlugt casks are rare. Lost.
