About Demerara Distillers (El Dorado)

At Diamond, on the east bank of the Demerara River, Demerara Distillers keeps alive the stills of Guyana's lost estates: the wooden Port Mourant vat still, said to date from 1732, the Versailles single wooden pot and the Enmore, the last wooden Coffey still in the world. From them come marks of astonishing range, from heavy and oily to light. The house brand is El Dorado. DDL's.
