The old Seagram distillery at Lawrenceburg, Indiana, founded in 1847, became famous among drinkers for a single recipe: a straight rye from a mash of 95 per cent rye grain. Bottled under dozens of labels, from Bulleit to Templeton, it defined the modern American rye boom, often uncredited. Spicy, herbal and dill-bright. MGP's.
